SMBIOS DMI manipulation

hi,


1) how do i check if a certain bios supports PnP function
   51h (get dmi structure)? on some machines,
   the PnP header and _SM_ header exist but when trying to
   call PnP functions above 50h - the machine freezes.

2) i am looking for code to add/remove a DMI structure.
