Connect to Nokia Cell Phone

Hello !!

I've got a reader for my Nokia Cell Phone... I need to read out the complete EEPROM, but I don't know how to acces to to the Reader (COM Port) and which commands I've got to send.
Please kann anybody out there help me?

Your question is actually several questions...

The first thing you need to do is be able to open a COM port to send & receive data.  Unless your keen on re-inventing the wheel, I strongly recommend AsyncProfessional from www.turbopower.com, I have used this product and it does exactly what it says on the tin.

Secondly, you need to initiate a session (or conversation) with your card reader, this is just a case right the COM port speed and flow control settings - if you dont know, then trial and error wont take too long.

Thirdly, and this might be the tricky bit, finding the comands to use to communicate with the phone.  If you dont have any documentation, try and find some on the web, if you cant, then reverse engineer someone else's - This is how I worked out how a fax machine works - and how to send a fax (admitedly the hard way).  For this you need a datascope (#1000 worth of kit), or to write one yourself (this can be tricky).  Let me know when you get this far.
