Hi

I need an applet that can read some files from a predefined directory and display them in a banner fashion
Plz help

hi
u will need the trusted applet to read the system resources
so u have to sign ur aplet for reading the file from the server
but there is another way out for this
try using the java.net.URL class to read the file
in this case u have to create a policy file which will grant permission to the applet  to access file

it has to be a signed applet to read files.
or a trusted applet

it does not have to read from a directory ok let us drop this idea .. I need it to read from <param ...
and a url on the other param ( like 2000 pic) and rotate them once i click on it goes to the url ... like most those javascripts on the internet

If you read from files, these must be on the same codebase as the applet. If you read from params, read from params. You can find some free banners at the link I've posted above.

Are you really expect someone to write a banner for you here ?

You can use param tag to show a url of an image to be read and displayed that is quite possible.

Or u can zip all the files and then make a archive of it and put i in archive tag in applet.
Then also it works
