Opening database in Interbase 5.5

I have just installed interbase 5.5 on my local machine Win98 and i have a interbase database which i have to open. What i have to do for this. I have never used InteBase before so i don't know what needs to be done.

You must Start-Up the database. Then just open it with a Delphi TDataBase and TTables/TQueries (you know).

To start - up the database start the

Interbase Server Manager

on the menu

File - Server Login

Select the server name (or type it), select the protocol, then the user name and password.

Then again File

File - DataBase Connect

Here select the path and name of your database file.

Finally, under Maintenance

Maintenance - Database Restart

And with this it should work

To prove it: open an Interactive SQL window and just make a select of a table you know ther should data.

Serever Name = machine name (your local machine)
