read outlook mails

Hi,

Could you please tell me how I can read mails in outlook, the body of a mail. The task I need to do
is read the mails in outlook, the subject and body and update the database. Please let me know this
in detail with an example as I am not familiar with the outlook object

you can do a search on MSDN (Web or CD) for a keyword Outlook.
The search results would vary but you can get among other things: Outlook object model, Outlook automation and so on.

Richie's link is a very good one. I think you need to enable MAPI in Outlook, to do this. I had to do so, in Outlook Express.

Anyway, Do you wish to retrieve from Outlook only, or directly from mails?
