An inline frame or a floating frame, is a frame inserted within a block of text. The IFRAME element allows to insert a frame within a block of text, and it works much like inserting an object via the OBJECT element. Works in IE4+, NS6

Example
<IFRAME src="hello.htm" width="400" height="400"
scrolling="auto" frameborder="1">
Hello I am here, this is displayed if browser doesn't support iFrame
You can visit <A HREF="hello.htm">the related document</A>
</IFRAME>

Cheers

Then couldn't guess - can tell only based on how your javascript Tree is? Is it a regular control or db-driven etc?

<IFRAME id="ifr" src="Empty.html" width... height... etc...>

In onclick u can write: onclick="ifr.location='Description.cfm?id=your_node_id'"

The only problem I don't remember: id="ifr" or name="ifr". I usually write both :)

PS also u can use complicated algorythms with document.write's :)...

all the nodes are db driven...
maybe you can see the display at :
www.geocities.com/otan_us/org.html.
the iframe located next to tree hierarchical.
as I click on one of the link, the iframe refresh and show the detail....

okay thx...
