Actually my problem is this....
Im creating an ocx and i need to use leadtools control(lead technologies)... and since i cant visually place a control on an activex/ocx window, i need to dynamically create the control...

I have already tried different ways to create the object but when i test the ocx, i always get an access violation message...

I created another project... this time it is a dialog-based project... and i tried dynamically creating the lead control... this time i am succesfull.. the problem is.. i tried using the same methods i used in the dialog-based prog to the ocx and it doesnt work the way it should.. still has access violations... :(

anyone, someone pls help...

p.s. im using visual c++

3Mann,

I don't have an answer to your question but I do use the LEADtools controls.  I just wanted to tell you that I was very impressed with the LEADtools support.  If you haven't called them yet, I would definately give it a shot - it's free.

Regards

I use the OCR module from the Document imaging suite.  I pass bitmaps from Windows using the HDC into the LEAD Tools Main control and then evaluate what I capture using the OCR control.  I would recommend calling them up at the support line from their website.  I did that twice and had my questions answered immeadiately.  I don't even have a licensed copy yet.

I just received a reply from Leadtools support... They said i can't use lead ocx in my ocx cause ther is no way i can pass the license string in my activex... too bad...
But ain't ocx supposed to be can be used in other OCXs?
