How to send a fax from vb

How to send faxes with vb. I'm currently using sendkey functions to run a third party fax program, and would much rather fax directly from code.

Thanks for the useful advice Pete. I had hoped to send faxes with any third party software, but the winfax sdk sounds like a good option.
