Mac Flash Player

I'm experiencing difficulty with a movie when played back on the MAC.  It's using PHP to talk to a MySQL database which we know is working because we can log in fine and get personalised data back.

Were hitting problems with a loadVariablesNum which puts the data into level0.

We're sending the variable "load" at the end of the string, and using the following script to verify everything is loaded:

if (load != undefined) {
    gotoAndPlay ("Scene 3", 1);
} else {
    gotoAndPlay (26);
}

...where frame 26 is the one preceding the frame with this script on so it loops until data has arrived.  This is working perfectly on PCs, but failing on the Mac, where it loops contantly.  We've tested it on a variety of Macs, but all using IE5 and the latest Flah player.

This is also the technique we used on our login script, so we know it works on the Mac at least sometimes...

Any ideas?

Is anything loading on the MAC have you put a test var on swf and viewed on the  mac to see if any thing loads?
Also are you writing to this file as well?
You might try in your loadvariables loading the last variable
(ex.
>>input file
var1=23&var2=456&var3=546&load=0
>>actionscript
//frame 1
load=-1
//frame 3
loadVariables("someplace.php",load)
//frame 5
if(load>=0){
gotoAndPlay(26);
}else{
gotoAndPlay(2);
}
This will assure that all your Var are loaded and continue to load them til load is loaded I did something similar using coldfusion and mySQL
