Did you tryed to put back (by overwriting) your saved files:

Sent Items.dbx
Drafts.dbx
Folders.dbx
Inbox.dbx
Offline.dbx
Outbox.dbx
Deleted Items.dbx
... etc

in folder C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Identities\..\Microsoft\Outlook Express\?

I don't think there will be any problem. If you have spare machine you can try this before you reformat your computer. It works.
