Hi,

there is very good site on net for solaris prepartion . that solarisprep.com.

but it better to get SUN official curriculum ,because all the questions in the certification is from that only , so better go to some official certification training center and get those books.

other books are

Solaris 8: The Complete Reference
by Sriranga Veeraraghavan, Paul Watters (Paperback)

Sun(r) Certified System Administrator for Solaris(tm) 8 Study Guide (Exam 310-007 & 310-008)
by Syngress Media Inc (Hardcover)

Sun Solaris 8 System Administrator Exam Cram
by Darrell L. Ambro (Paperback)

Since I am doing customer training for Sun Microsystems (Sysadmin I & II, TCP/IP Networking,DiskSuite, Volumemanager,Performance, Fault Analysis and Network management) and I have taken the certification I can tell you this:

The Exam Cram book has a lot of wierd, overworked questions and when it comes to the Sun training classes I can say that about 95% of the questions are in these courses.
The other books are ok for sysadmin.

There are a few odd questions which really isnt covered like "what is the hash function doing in ftp". This is something we really does not mention in any class.

But if you are working with Solaris and doing sysadmin you should be able to reach the 67% demanded for passing the test. If you are aiming at 100% it is a whole different ballgame. This is though, I should know this and had 95+97% on the two tests. (The highest scores seen so I guess I am not too disapointed)

Questions does cover all areas of SunOS so if you normally doesnt work with printers you would like to check these 8-10 commands cause there is going to be at least 3 questions on this.

BUT the questions you will get is randomly choosen from a large number of questions so every test has different questions, a little luck will help.

Good luck
