Windows 2000 and auto switch off pc

Hello,

i have such a problem. Before Windoes 2000 I used Win 9X. I had no problem with switching off my pc after working day. When image  "It's now safe to turn off you computer", my pc switch off by him self without pressing power button.

The problem is with my Win 2000. When I tried to shut it down.. I got message - It's now save to turn off pc, but pressing button - power on my pc, it is been ignored.

Can you teel is it possible to take off this option .. or some kind other solution.. You are welcome to help me...

-I kinda dropped the studying for now.. bought a house..moving next week.. Did a bunch of big installs at work.. Just got back from Nashville last night..was there since wed morning... Too much on my mind to put the effort in.. Two electives left , so I think Im in good shape.. I was thinking of taking the easy way out , like.."maintaing an NT 4 domain" or some other no brainer one..
