I have problem in using SQL+ 8.0 in my PC connecting to AIX Oracle database (8i 8.0.6).  What's

The following are the error details that Window give me:

PLUS80W caused an invalid page fault in
module ORA805.DLL at 015f:6764a9c4.

But there is no problem when using Oracle Forms 6i or Oracle Reports 6i to connect to the database.
The same situation occurs when trying connect to Oracle 8i on Linux.

Pls advise.

Are you getting any oracle message such as ora-99999 ? It seems to me like a client install issue. If you are not getting any ora- messages, may I recommend for you to take a look at the install/config. and possibly try reinstalling/ reconfiguring your client.

see if this helps....

Problem Description
-------------------
PLUS80W caused an invalid page fault in module ORA805.DLL
when trying to start SQLPLUS.

This problem has been noticed when Oracle Personal Edition 8.1.5
was installed and Forms and Reports 6i were installed in a
separate ORACLE_HOME as required.

The order of the installation did not make a difference.

Solution Description
--------------------
Reinstall some of the .dll's again.

To do this, use the Developer 6i Forms/Reports CD and start the installer.
Choose custom install and select:

1. Guicommon Files
2. Required Support Files
3. SQL*Plus

Explanation
-----------

There has been some confusion in the .dll's installed.  Sometimes the
installer does not overwrite the .dll's and hence they do not get installed.
