I want to read and render AutoCAD file (DWG) uses Direct3D, for my school task. Anyone can help ?

I need to understand DWG format. Is there any source to open it ?

Anyone can explain a step by step of DWG format, without using market SDK ? I like to create my own source code for DWG in C++ for my school paper :) thanks alot
