QReport Printer Settings

Hi,

Here I am again!
Using 3 QReport's in an application, can set the print settings for each one individually using the PrintSetup procedure, but the settings only effect that report. Cannot copy the settings from the first report to the other two as the QRPrinter property is read-only. The requirement is to set each report up the same from one print setup dialog, is there a way of achieving this?

Try to make QuickReport2.QRPrinter.Assign(QuickReport1.QRPrinter);

What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

Hi Alzy!
No luck! Tried what you said but the prog crashed with an access violation.

What you have written is what I'm trying to achieve but delphi 4 won't let me at the moment.
Best wishes...............chrisbee.

Hi Alzy!
This seems a tricky one, I have upped the points to 300. I am still trying but no luck- Tried using and 'or' to see if it would work when selecting either of the three print/preview file procedures like in Pascal but no luck yet.
Best wishes.............chrisbee.

Hi folks!
It seems a difficult problem though I amm beginning to think that as each file has to be printed separately the settings for portrait and landscape ect, have to be set up for each file before the command to print is sent.  I had hoped I could have carried the command to all the files and printed them all in the same format at the same time from one setting and command. I live in hope!!

Best wishes..............chrisbee.

Hi Guys!
Getting bogged down in Delphi with this print prob- perhaps I havn't made it clear as to what I am trying to do. I have three quick reports in the database- income, expenditure and direct debits.

I wish to offer the user the option to print all the data in all three files at one print setting. ie: portrait or landscape, no of pages ect. I can do it separately initialising each print job in turn.

In the code I assigned the print instruction to each file. The first one is ok then the compiler throws a access violation error when the instruction is transferred to the next of the three file variables.  Do I take it that perhaps what I am trying to do is not possible in Delphi?

Here's hoping............chrisbee.
