Sending SMSs through Delphi

hehe, I looked for that too.

there are quite a few of those on Torry's Delphi pages www.torry.net but they are either commercial, country-limited (and some of them that work on Israel lines which I tried are not working)

Via email ... in South Africa, in the TO FIELD, you type out the cell number @sms.co.za and this works, but only for one service provider.  There are 2 service providers in South Africa namely MTN and VODACOM.  MTN numbers start with 083 and vodacom 082.  the above works for MTN ... so, I still don't have a solution for VODA PHONES.

I have used a component but it needs a cable and a nokia phone. It works well and gave me total control over the phone. www.oxygensoftware.com

There is also a component that uses the web interface for a free sms service but its unreliable (the sms service not the component)

Thanks for the response ... I have downloaded the component from QxygenSOFTWARE .. My problem is that I don't want to sent sms's to only 1 model of cellphone.  

I want to SMS Multiple users irrespective of the model of cellphone that they have.  I don't know how many people have a Nokia phone.  The code must be able to send sms all cell phones

Sorry. I havent made myself clear. The component sends sms THROUGH a nokia phone that it connected to your pc via a cable. It doesnt matter what type or model recieves the message. Its just like you sitting there typeing the message out on your phone and sending it.

Oops ... no, thats not what I am looking for.  I don't want a phone connected to my pc.  I need to send like via the internet or something to that effect.

Like, if you visit www.vodacom.co.za you can send internet sms's at no cost.
