Hi,

I had a child domain that was improperly un-installed previously and it still exists in the forest but there are no domain controlers for it?  How can I force it to be removed from the forest?

* See http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q230/3/06.ASP - it describes the wjhole process of removing such a domain.

* If the domain still pops up in domain selection boxes (e.g. on Login), try this: In AD Users & Computers, select the domain and choose "Advanced Features" in the "View" menu. On the right side, you may see an object named after the domain. Delete it.
