Woohoo, that link did the trick! Basically, this guy who did the link had the very same exact problem I did. So, delete this key:<br />

btw, I could always click the gray Name but it was &quot;list view&quot; was never displayed by default in File dialogs...and was very much a pain to do endlessly.<br />

I can't find an option to set it to go A-Z alphabetical anywhere...but ever since I upgraded to Windows2000, whenever I go to &quot;My Computer&quot; or get the File dialog in an appilication to open or save a file, all of the files are in Z-A order...backwards!<br />
