How to find out a process is running under which id? Sometimes when I was trying to kill a process from task manager, I got permission denied error. Even though I was logging in using adminstrator id. Thanks for your help.

You cannot kill a service process from Task Manager.  You will get Access denied.  You must shut down those processes from the Services Applet in Admin Tools.

I am not quite sure what you mean by saying "Services Applet in Admin Tools".

In the Admin Tools, which can be accessed from the control panel among other places, there is an applet called Services.  It lets you configure the startup/security properties of various .exe that run as system services.  It will also allow you to stop and start them.  Some running process that are registered as service must be stopped there.
