Using Notes 4.6, it is neccessary to use a program like POP3FIDO to retrieve POP3 mail.
Before upgrading to R5, I'd like to know if this function is built-in to R5 (to allow the server to retrieve the mail, say every 15 minutes). I know it's possible to configure the client to do it, but I'd rather have the server do it.
No, the R5 server (still??) isn't a POP client
I'm looking for a solution right now. Can you inform me of your experiences with POP3FIDO?

CommView,
We were planning to temporarily upgrade out last NT Server to R5 with a view to changing to Linux later, but we have had to change to Linux already, and since POP3Fido is a Window$ application, we will use Fetchmail...

As you might have found out already, you can find a lot of comments, suggestions (and problems of course) on the use of fetchmail at the lotus gold forum: http://www.notes.net/46dom.nsf
Search for: fetchmail
Good luck and thanks for your excepting my answer
