*I need to know some inputs on how to develop a Report writer which can be easy as well as powerful .
*My report writer should be able to communicate with access,oracle and Db2 database.
*it will be good if u could specify me some sites that would help me

Doveloping Report writer using VB, You can use Picture box as a container, And drop text box & label to show the data.

Have a look at this:

(You could use an RTB control and do your reporting).

You could also use Word as your reporting tool, from VB. If you need info, on this, could try.

 If you have access to Excel then you can use Excel to generate your reports (you will have to get familar with the Excel Object Model, but it is not to difficult and you will have more power and flexibility then you could ever hope for, including presenting the user with something they are probably familiar with.

  The only downfall is that the user will have to have Excel on thier machine for this to work, so it is probably only acceptable for an application be created for a company, not the general public.
