Hi, I am trying to call a java applet function in
javascript. The applet function
is in the form "load(double [] data, int length)"

In my javascript: I am using
var data=new Array();
data[0]=1; ...
data[9]=59;
load(data,10);

The browser complains method "load(Array, number)"
not found in applet. How can I fix the problem?

You have to have a reference to the applet stored as a variable first.

If the html looks like:

<BODY onload="getAppletLoaded(); API = setAppletRefs(); ">

<APPLET NAME="APIApplet" CODE="API" ARCHIVE="API.ZIP" MAYSCRIPT WIDTH=100 HEIGHT=100>

then the javascript can look like:

function getAppletLoaded()
{
        while (ready == 0)
        {
          if (document.applets[0].isActive())
                {
                        ready = 1;
                }
        }
}

function setAppletRefs()
{
        return document.applets[0];
}

// Applet
var ready = 0;
var API = null;
var data=new Array();
data[0]=1; ...
data[9]=59;
API.load(data,10);

I already have a reference to the applet.   My problem is rather the varaible type doesnot
match, in applet, the code requires double [] , and int.   How can I have same variable types
in javascript .
