DECS & ODBC
Hi
I got a problem of connecting ODBC to DECS. I am running Windows 2000 Professional & SQL 7.0 service pack 2. I got this error message "Unable to browse ODBC. An error occurred while attempting to load connectivity to ODBC. Please verify that the necessry vendor libraries have been installed. For more information. Please refer to the Data Source Connectivity Guide.
Anybody got a solution for this? Where can I find the Data Source Connectivity guide?
Please advise.
Thanks in advance.

I am assuming that you checked the items mentioned in my last comment. If that did not help, reinstall the MS SQL ODBC drivers form the install CD and test it again.

Hi,
I installed another domino server on Windows 2000 & configure the DECS. I installed the ODBC drivers. It works. The only difference is that on my production environment I am running Sun Solaris OS. Whereas the other case is I am running Windows 2000.
Any issues?
Please advise.
Thanks in advance.

Check whether you have completed the following:
1. install relevant odbc drivers from the install CD of the (say) Sybase
2. Using the ODBC administrator, create a system DSN specifying the name of the server and the db name you are trying to access
3. check for connectivity between the mmachine that runs the agent and the sybase machine
Finally use the wizard in DECS to create and start the real time activities
