Dsgnintf  error by converting components to Delphi6

Hello,

I'm trying to convert most of my components from
D5 to D6 but a lot of them have troubles with
a file dsgnintf.pas. I think that comes with D5,
but not anymore with D6. What need I do to get
my components working again?

Don't have D5 but I read something about a unit called 'DesignIDE'...

I had the same problem corpa.  I guess what has happened is that 'DsgnIntf.pas' was rewritten and split into 'DesignIntf.pas' and 'DesignEditors.pas'.  These two files can be found in /Source/ToolsAPI off you main Delphi 6 directory.  So, in your sources anyplace it says 'DsgnIntf' replace that with 'DesignIntf' see if it will compile and if it doesn't (and only if it doesn't) you will also have to then

1) add 'DesignEditors' to the uses clause of the unit
and then also
2) add 'DesignIDE' to the REQUIRED section of the package

feel free to ask questions (dont know if I will be able to answer them, but.. hey it sounds good :) eh he)
