I know it isn't the best place for posting this question.
But i would like to know if anybody of you have tried to scann for delphi and which experience you have made.
The scanner i would like to buy should have some buttons (for scanning in black/white, color, copy ...) these buttons should be programmable
And the scanner should have an optional ADF.

The only scanner independent API is TWAIN which handles the image aquisition. All scanners come with a TWAIN DLL.

Project JEDI has a TWAIN API conversion at http://delphi-jedi.org page 'API Library'.

The quality of the scanner is mainly a question of the amount of money you are willing to pay.
The 50 to 100$ class is for scanning of photos from idiots.

Yes, but which scanner is best for my needs ?
I have seen some Epsons - look very good, but have only one button, some realy cheap scanners have many buttons (three or more) but have no quality.
I don't need to know how to scan, i need from which is best to scan !

Then it is definitely not a question for this forum.

Anyway,
The amount of buttons etc does not tell anything about the quality of the scanner.
Data aquisition goes through TWAIN. The buttons normally simply trigger an application to read the data.

For a description of what a good scanner is, please check your computer magazines. You should easily find recent tests of scanners.
