How do you access Lotus Notes mail from Outlook??

How do you route mail from default SMTP site to Lotus Notes? What specifically is needed in the delivery tab in order to route mail from using Outlook as a client to the smart host (in our case is Lotus Notes)?

We get the following error message from Outlook;

The connection to the server has failed xxxxxx xxxxxx
socket error 10061.

I am unsure whether you are trying to "access Lotus Notes mail from Outlook" or "route mail from default SMTP site to Lotus Notes", which appear at least to me as two different things.

If you are trying to use Outlook as a client for Lotus (which is what your title seems to ask), you need to download and use the Lotus service for Outlook from the Lotus site, Outlook doesn't support that type of server inherently.

If you want to forward emails sent to an ISP account to a Lotus account (which the text of your question seems to ask) you don't necessarily need Outlook in the equation, but if you are receiving the messages in Outlook you can set up a rule in the Rules Wizard to auto forward the emails to another address.

If neither of the above is applicable, please reply back with additional information about what exactly you are trying to do, what is the full error message, and when exactly does the error occur.
