Hi!
I installed MS Win 2000 advase server on a system that is not on the net (does not have a network adapter) and i got an error (faild on home resolution) with DNS server when i make "a simple query against the DNS server" test (DNS properties/monitoring). The message from NSlookup is that desault server is unknown.

I'd like to know if it's possible to install Active Directory and network services on a system that doesn't have a network adapter?

Thanks for your help!

You may be able to do this by installing the Microsoft Loopback Adapter.  The Loopback adapter allows you to test network components on a machine thats not networked.  Check this KB page for how to install it:-

Let me know if this helps.
