Report Scheduling Failing.?

We use Info Desktop version: 7.0.2.200
When Scheduling a report Many reports pass with success.

However there are a few with Failed Status: When checking properties it says: PEStartPrintJob : Cannot open SQL server

We use Oracle 8.17 Database and use never schedule the report in the same time. There's always a difference in the time for reports.

When ReScheduling the same failed report in InfoDesktop, that is with exact same parameters, It succeeds with Success!. I don't understand why does it fail at certain times.

Any help is really appreciated.

Your error message is the one generally returned when CRW is unable to login.  Do you have licensing issues at play here?

If the reports are scheduled and E-Mailed to recipients, check the names.  If one of the recipients has been removed from the exchange server because the person has left the company this will cause this error.

This is a case where a comment requesting clarification along with your suggestion would have been more appropriate.  Although Info Desktop can be incorporated into an Exchange environment, the user doesn't state that in his question.

Try rebuilding your report from scratch then try rescheduling.  This some times works.  Also, try switching your driver to OLEDB for Sequel in place of ODBC.  If you need help you can call me at (860) 616-4018 until 8/3/01 when my contract here ends.  Please let me know if it works.

different schedules of an imported report can store a different password. info many times is set insert the default lan id of the machine scheduling the job. that id is not always the id used to access the data. many times the id may even be the same put the password may not and errors occure there. the error your getting is a password error to the database. its no email id error. im guessing yoru using the copy of info that was given out for free a year or so back with the 50 user license of info. it's deffinately the id to the database your accessing. good luck

This question has been answered. And I accepted it.  

My apolgies for not returning to Crystal Reports sooner, but it seems I am all over the TA's now.  I have been cleaning is 12 now and 18 finished.
