My guess here from your very cryptic question is that there is a problem with the version of Windows XP you are using and the video card you have.  Who knows?  It could be that this card is not supported, it could be a problem with the build of XP you have, it could be a bad driver??

Are you running 2 video cards?  Try them one at a time and see if each works by itself.  My guess is that the dual-display functions in the XP beta are not fully tested.

Do you have the latest XP build?  I've seen as late as Build 2505 but I'm sure there are later versions out now.

To stop this message: Go to the device manager, and select to view the hidden items. Then select display items on connection. Somewhere all the way down that list you will find the voodoo2 PCI port I/O and the Memory Mapper. Set these two to start up automatically and restart. This should fix the I/O failure message.

Rectification: These two should start up in SYSTEM, not automatic. Sorry.
