Lets say for my report that there are 23 records.  Well on each record I want a field that has 23 in it.

For example: (for three record)

Field1, Field2, Field3, 3, Field4
Field1, Field2, Field3, 3, Field4
Field1, Field2, Field3, 3, Field4

Either type to insert special field type record count in your detail line, which may not work, or build the report twice, using the first run which is suppressed to get your record count, then a subreport to actually print the data with the record count being established as a parameter in the initial run.
