Installshield & DAO Lib problem.

I just build an installer for my database application using Delphi 5 and its Installshield Express. I already includes every library, BDE, DB Components, etc..and everything available to select. But when I install it on other machine (Windows 98, Windows ME), my application reports error since DAO library (Many files, such as IDDAO32.DLL, DAO3032.DLL, etc were missing. Which library do I have to include in my installer to make these DLL function? Or do Microsoft or any company provide additional installler specifically for install this one?

Hello

First, which database you are using?, DAO is for MS Access, and if you are not using it, no need to include it with ur application

Hello

if you are using Access 97, you need to include IDDA3532.DLL, the other u wrote for older version of access, check in the install shield in the BDE section, to see which files it include with ur installtion

which version of delphi do you use?, and which version of Access?, if you have delphi 5 enterprise edition, why u don't move to ADO, it doesn't require BDE for delploying ur applicaton

Also you may need to have InstallSheild set this registry setting for you. We had this same problem and this is how we got pass the poblem.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Borland\Database Engine\Settings\DRIVERS\MSACCESS\INIT

DLL32     IDDA3532.DLL
