Hello,
After using the package and deployment wizard with my programme group, I tried to install the programme. The installation was interrupted. I got the following message: " the file "C:\windows\temp\msftqws.pdw $(dll-selfregister ex) could not be registered because it was not found.
Can somebody please explain me what this means and how I can prevent this from happening.

Thanks

Els

You probably used the "Calendar control"
There's a bug in that one for the PDW.

Open the setup.lst file with notepad.

Find the line that installs the calender control.
This is something like mscall.ocx

On this line you'll see the word "selfregisterex"
You must replace this with "Selfregister", just like in the other lines.

Just save the file and it should work.

You are right! I removed the callender control, because the form that used it was removed from the project and indeed it worked.

So, allthough that the problem was solved before I read your mail, you deserve the points, because I didn't know this was the cause of the problem

Thanks

You're welcome ....

And you never know you need it in the future in your package.
