you may have this problem if you use autoincfields,
or fields which are updated by the server
(depending what database you use)

there is a property on the tfield,
where you can tell this to delphi
(have the name not in mind),
if this the cause

meikl ;-)

TTable refers to Paradox Table.

If OldValue := 5;
CurValue := 10;
and NewValue = 12 ==> NewValue must be = 17!
How can I set newvalue = 17 if another user has changed OldValue to CurValue?

200 points have been refunded to you for this question.  A couple of points that may help add insight here.

This site was having problems with Email notifications in July and August of last year under prior Management.  The chances are quite good that your last comment was never received by the participating experts, and therefore they could not respond.  It is helpful to update with comments all your open questions to ensure Email notification to the experts of progress made through time and to trigger responses to you.

Now that your points have been refunded, you may choose to ask this question again, if the need still exists to draw current attention and get the excellent help you need.

Good luck,
