How do I get the hexadecimal into a variable and then convert to a IPAddress?

Question for PowerBuilder 5.0.04

I need to get the IP Address of a local computer.
I know how to get to the IP Address in the Registry.
The problem is the IP Address is in a hexadecimal form.
How do I get the hexadecimal into a variable?
How do I convert the hexadecimal back to a standard IP Address?

Thanks,
  Frank

The registry is not reliable; among other things, the location of the ip address
depends on your type of network card (at least it does on NT).

This link should contain exactly what you're looking for :

(more messing around with API calls unfortunately).
