Is it possible to delete some of the unwanted location document. [using both r5 and 4,6]

Yes, it is.

The location documens in your private address book (locale names.nsf) are only prepared profiles.
I usualy delete all except Office. Then rename the location to something meaningfull to me and adjust the settings to my user.id file and the server settings.  After this I usualy use only this one location.
