I apologize if this has been asked alot already but i am unable to
find an answer and this was supposed to be already. how can i reseed
my member_id column to start back at zero? during testing i
accumalated over 100 or so member_id's. now we are going live and i
deleted the members but the auto-increment keeps going with 101, 102
etc... i know for access and sql server there is a query you can run
that reseeds back to 0. is there somehting similar for mysql?

       any help is appreciated -

yeah that would work except re-creating the table is too much of a hassle. for anyone that is interested, the answer is:

$PATH_TO_BIN/myisamchk -A=0 $PATH_TO_DATA/$TABLENAME.MYI

If you are using the older file format, it would be isamchk instead.
