How to put break between tables in xsl

hello-


i have two tables in my xsl

HERE IS THE ENDING OF THE FIRST

        </td>
    </tr>
</table>
     
HERE IS THE BEGGINING OF 2nd    

<table width="100%" bgColor="#cccccc" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
    <tr>
        <td>


I tried placing a "<br>" in between them to space them out a little bit but im getting an error. how can i place a few blank lines between these tables?

in xml you must use a well formed XML (XHTML) so instead of <br> you should use <br/>
