In my Lan, I have PCs with Win95/98 a NT 4.0 server and an IMac. The HP (2100-PCL6) printer is connected
to a Win95 PC and there is no problem to print document from all the other PCs but it does not work
from the IMac.
Is there special softwares/component which need to be installed on the IMac or on the PC?
Thank you in advance for your help.

To do printer sharing with a PC you need Dave which makes Macs speak Windows networking lingo. I have a 2100TN here and it has an ethernet port though so im not sure why you wouldnt put the 2100 straight onto the network. That would eliminate the need for Dave and would free up a PC to do something other than share a printer. Dave is available from www.versiontracker.com

You will need a JetDirect box to turn a basic 2100 into a 2100TN.
