ASF / MPEG / AVI -- guru wanted!!!
I need to extract audio/video tracks from ASF file.
As I understand I must use either MS Media SDK (worst case) or something like DSPack (http://www.progdigy.com)
Who dealt with that? Please answer!!!

So, I'd like a lot to close this strange thread!
As for the solution I use DSPack (see URL above) for that.
After some training I can now even convert ASF's into uncompessed AVI (~20x in size). But you should have some basic knowledges on MS DirectShow.
The only thing I still don't know is: whether it is a hack to use _Microsoft's_ products to decompress ASF's or not :)
I don't know what means were used earlier in VirtualDub which was declared by MS as a hacking software.
