Like the earlier Kylix offering, Borland now has, for download, Delphi 6 Personal Edition.  You can find it here: http://www.borland.com/delphi/personal/ .

WoW!
Very Cool...
Thanx Edey :-)

I hope you can write freeware with it?
It says -non commercial- so I'm hoping that
giving away free software with source is considered
to be OK :-)

To me non-commercial just means you cant charge money for the product (except maybe if you distribute it on CD, you can recoup the cost of that and charge like $1).  But their definition may be different I guess.

It doesnt explicity say the program must be licensed under the GPL like Kylix: OE does, so I dont think you have to give away your source as well.  I do anyway so thats not a big deal even if I have to :-)

Hi MannSoft :-)
I guess I will give away my exe's I make with D6P until and unless I find a clear statement that says "You can't distribute freeware" :-)
I will probably include a blurb somewhere saying I made it with D6P and showing the url where the user could dl it herself"
I usually include source code anyway... although sometimes it's so embarrassing :-)

I agree - there doesn't seem to be anything the states you _have_ to GPL the stuff, though it might be a good idea.  I havn't sold binaries in a while - releasing source sure has taught me a thing or two :).

I guess as this q has "scrolled" past the front page it's time to close it up.

I wouldn't mind hearing what others have done with the thing though.

Well, we all like to do what we can.  Say, if you ever need more, there's a whole lot 'o nothin' where those came from :)
