I may write a CD writer program, need a starting kick..

Need some links/info please.

1. Why is so special since a CD writer dont get "installed" in windows with drivers etc.
Do I have to threat every CD writer separately ?, why is that, isn't it just the point with Windows.

2. Some CD Writer software claims to work on all types of cd writer hardware, does this imply a sort of "interface" in windows that is standard for CDWriters ?

3.I have make an CD writer app that do Both Audio and Data format on same CD. (must be able to be used in both  CD player and PC). Is there ISO standards out there that tells how this is done ?

4. Need links on CDA file format, have tried wosit.

Have a nice day.

here's an all encompassing API to burn CDs:
http://www.gearcdr.com/html/PRODUCTS/GEARWKS/index.html
(though a bit pricey)
http://www.adaptec.com/adaptec/developers/index.html

And free NuCDR ActiveX component.

I hope, it helps. Alex
