I want to make it so that my object doesn't have any link to a database, so I use:
myobject.controlsource=null
but that gave me an error, so I tried:
myobject.controlsource=nothing
then:
myobject.controlsource=""
but none of these worked, am I doing something wrong or is there some wierd value I have to set is to?

Just do not declare a control source at all.  The default is no control source.

You want to unbind a control dynamically, this is done by:

Me.Controls("<name of control>").ControlSource = ""

manly,

in case my last comment was not clear enough...

Sending out points for free between friends in dummy questions like you just did is not allowed on EE, and this is what I am suspecting you off in the 2 a.m. links.

If you don't provide a reasonible explanation, I will delete and undo both questions.
