Answer required quickly on Outlook view control

Dear experts

Please help me I recently unregistered the outlook view control used with Outlook 2000 and digital dashboard from my windows 2000 server. I thought by visiting Teamfolders on my intranet that I would be able to automatically install the required controls again. Oh No.

I believe that I must have the view control still registered on the machine otherwise I would be prompted to install the control again, but do not know how to check.

I have checked the registry which brings back nothing with 'Outlook view control' in the search string.
So can someone please tell me what I must do and where I can get the control from. If providing web links please make sure these work as they frequently do not. I will award the points immediately assuming the information is correct.

Thanks
A.jones.

I was looking for advice to check whether I still have the control still installed and where to find an up to date download site. Sorry but your answer gives neither of these.
I reread the question and realized that the first was in regards to VB.  How about the second?
And here is tons of info on Digital Dashboard - http://www.slipstick.com/dev/dashboard.htm
Sorry

Have you visited this link yourself because it actually says that the cab file is temporarily unavailable until a security patch is released. I do not care about this I am using it on my intranet.

This site is great I have already visited but it does not supply me with the control. Any ideas ?

Nice try, but not quite. I get the feeling you like sending me on a goose chase. Let me know if you manage to find an up to date download site. It does not by the way have to include the security patch as this is obviously not available yet.
It is likely that the view control is not available since it appears to contain one of the exploited features of the recent worm invasion.  I have tried quite a few places and found a place to download the Digital Dashboard Development Kit - http://msdn.microsoft.com/downloads/default.asp?url=/code/sample.asp?url=/MSDN-FILES/027/001/584/msdncompositedoc.xml&frame=true
The ocx file is mscomct2.ocx.  You could try just re-registering it on your system.
To clarify on slink9's comment, the outlook view control included with outlook 2002 exposes the computer to risk.  The view control that came with TeamFolders and Digital Dashboards v.1 did not expose the "Selection" property.

As for getting the OUTLCTLX.CAB that is responsible for the whole mess, you can get it from a TechNet subscription or from the link slink9 supplied.

If the control is installed properly via a web page you visited, parts of the program download will be found at:
\WINNT\Downloaded Program Files
