Seeking Intell PII 450MHz Slot 1 processors

Seeking Intel PII 450MHz Slot 1 processors. I looking for about 10 of these seemingly rare CPUs.

In addition, I could also use some Intel PIII 500-600MHz Slot 1, 100MHz bus only CPUs.

Ideally a Canadian source would be great, however, I buy from anywhere if the price is right.

Please don't suggest alternatives.... my requirements are specific.

These guys have both types of cpu listed on their website:

http://www.memory4less.com/cpus.asp

Caveat emptor - I have no prior experience with this company, and sourced the information from www.pricewatch.com, a very useful site for finding recent and older hardware.

The company is based in Anaheim.

Checking www.pricewatch.com there are five mailorder outfits selling them.  No one mentions limited availability and prices start at $87US.

One of my favorite sites for cheap hardware is
www.computersurplusoutlet.com
Here is a direct link to PII 450 http://www.computersurplusoutlet.com/viewproduct.asp?ProductID=CPU-P2450
Here is a direct link to PIII 600
http://www.computersurplusoutlet.com/viewproduct.asp?ProductID=CPU-P3600E

I hope this helps, they have great prices and give away free stuff occasionally.

Domineaux,

Welcome to EE. It is common practice here to post Comments only, and allow the question asker to choose the response most helpful as an answer. If your comment is found to be correct, you will be rewarded the points for the question. By proposing an Answer, you have put the question into the "Locked" category, where fewer experts browse. This limits the responses the question asker will receive. A great deal of teamwork is used here, with the solution to a problem being the number one priority. Please read the "Tips on Comments and Answers" and the link at the end to get a better idea of how the site works. I look forward to working with you in the future, and again, welcome.

sconnell:

I suggest that you reject the proposed answer, so that you receive more comments an your question.

Before purchasing, check the retailer/etailer at www.resellerratings.com or www.bizrate.com to read what experiences others have had with the company.

Dogztar, your web refs... are excellent, thanks.

Thanks to everyone else as well.

Though I do prefer a Canadian outlet, I will look into your suggestions next week.  I've got a bunch of Compaq DP4000's (PII 233 which will upgrade to 350MHz) and other PCs (will update from 350 - 600MHz) I'd love to keep running for a few more years.
