Note that you posted the Q in the wrong topic, SysExpert is not going to fint it here in the Delphi section ;-)
But to me that's no problem.

As for your additional question if the PNP CD-Rom failure is due to the DMA mode, I thought it would be an explanation of the phenomen; but it may well be anything else noone has thought of.
