i`ll try the program and check if it will work for me. I want to access the database because i've quit my job where I had a notes e-mail client (now i have outlook), but i want to be able to read my old messages. I've burned a CD with my old databases<br />

hmm, that may be hard to do...I've never found anything that reads notes files without notes being installed. &nbsp;Even clients that let you open your mail in outlook require notes files to be on the machine first. &nbsp;I would suggest trying to see if you can find a copy of Notes somewhere (and you'll need your .id file too...I hope you burned that on cd too or you're in real trouble!) and install it.

Software to read notes database (different that lotus notes)

Lotus Software produced the Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheet program, and later developed Lotus Notes, a groupware and email system. Following its acquisition by IBM, the Notes and Domino client/server collaborative platform were expanded to include functions such as email, calendars, to-do lists, contacts management, teamrooms, discussion forums, file sharing, microblogging, instant messaging, blogs, and user directories. IBM also release SmartSuite, a comprehensive office suite, and followed that with Symphony, unrelated to the Lotus suite of the same name.
