hi sycale..

    hope this helps

First for inserting a picture in a treeview control u have to associate the treeview with an ImageList (i.e)u need to have an ImageList control with the pictures in it.

then u have to associate the TreeView with the ImageList control either at design time or at run time(i.e)
     TreeView1.ImageList=ImageList1

Then on the node click event of the TreeView control change the image property of the node to an index in the ImageList control

For example If u have an ImageList control ImageList1
with three pictures in it with index 1,2,3 resp.

Then u could set the image property of the node to any of these index to change the picture associated with the node.

I have a sample program for u

U need to place a treeview control and ImageList control on your form.Insert the pictures u want in the ImageList
control.

Private Sub Form_Load()
    With TreeView1.Nodes
        .Add , , "a", "Root", 1
        .Add "a", tvwChild, "c1", "child1", 2
        .Add "a", tvwChild, "c2", "child1", 2
        .Add "a", tvwChild, "c3", "child1", 2
        .Add "a", tvwChild, "c4", "child1", 2
    End With
End Sub

Private Sub TreeView1_NodeClick(ByVal Node As MSComctlLib.Node)
    Node.Image = 3
End Sub

Cheers..!

Hi sycale,
It appears that you have forgotten this question. I will ask Community Support to close it unless you finalize it within 7 days. I will ask a Community Support Moderator to:

    Save as PAQ -- No Refund.
    *** question too ambiguous; too few points to split.
