I have seen boards that have two LED connectors, one for primary and one for secondary, some of those also have a jumper to make just the primary LED connector flash for both channels. So you might like to take a close look at the board to see if you can find a secondary channel IDE connector and a jumper. If you just have a secondary channel connector and no jumper, I guess you can make a splitter to connect the one LED to both connectors, though it would be wise to put a small diode in each signal side of the lines to make sure it doesn't cause any strange behaviour. Alternatively, you could connect the secondary connector to the turbo LED in the case, which is not used on pentium class motherboards and is usually permanently on when connected to a turbo LED connector on the board.

If you don't have a secondary LED connector, and don't have any jumpers to select which channel(s) the LED is active for, then I don't think there is any way you can make it be active for the secondary channel.

When talking about motherboards, because 430VX is a widely used chipset and was bought and used by many manufacturers, as are many chipsets, it is better to quote the name and model of the motherboard, so we can pull up more information about it, such as manuals etc off the web.

Eye-catchers on the conference table

Challenge: The i-unit group was not satisfied with the audio quality during remote meetings. They were looking for a portable solution with excellent audio quality for use in their conference room but also at their client’s offices.

Well, I searched all the top 3rd party support sites, they know nothing, I seached technology journals for articles to find out what happened to Taken, I found nothing. I used the top 3 meta searches, google, mamma and dogpile and found nothing, I searched the last 3 years of USENET archives and found only about a dozen people asking where the heck they can get Taken manuals, and those posts had no responses. Possibly the brand was never popular in English speaking countries.

However, I did find some settings in a jumper archive known as "Total Hardware" and the Taken Boards referenced in there don't seem to have jumpers to set the drive activity light.

If you want this very useful archive, here is a list of locations...

Be warned however, the download is 10 Megabytes or so and because of the large number of  small files you need about 80mb to uncompress it to. Winzip is able to extract it, however, I have had no luck extracting it to a Fat 16 filesystem (I think harddisk space may have been the problem for me on that, I had 100mb free but I think it needed work area in temp as well) but on two other machines with FAT 32 filesystems (and a lot more space)  it extracted fine.
