Hello, I have RedHat 7.2 using SQUID as proxy (192.168.2.2 http port=8080), but I have a problem when the stations of the company try to download the anti-virus update. These stations have 192.168.2.2:8080 as proxy server. The anti-virus can can download files but it can't descompress these files. I think the problem is the SQUID, then I have decided install a FTP PROXY. Can you help me with this?

Hi,

You could try to set (uncomment) the tag 'ftp_passive on' in the /etc/squid/squid.conf file. Seems rather odd if the files download but don't decompress. Is this from a browser or from antivirus in-built client ?

You can use the SuSE's Proxy-Siute, as far as i know this program is working fine with any other distribution:
