I would like to add a new entry when you right click and select new with explorer. I found the templates folder under each users profile but I don't know how to add it to the menu.

Hi,

Here an example from New VBS Script File i add.
.vbs is the extension of an existing file or the key you will add for a new type of file extension.
It is find in the registry under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.

Then you just need to add the key "ShellNew" and in this key "NullFile" as string with no value.

Copy the fllowing in a .reg file then execute it.
Open the popup menu / New to check.

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.vbs]
@="VBSFile"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.vbs\ShellNew]
"NullFile"=""
